A conglomeration of short stories meant to depict a time in Italy's history when things were quite a bit simpler. All these tales deal with love and desire in some aspect or other, ranging from a boy and a girl getting their first taste of romance, to an adulterous affair, to a fight between two farmers for a hunk of "fertilizer."
