A pair of witless newspaper people, Whalen as the reporter and Chandler as his sidekick photographer, turn detectives to clear an innocent man, Kellard, from a charge of murder. For added effect, bill-collector Stuart, who previously spent most of her time trying to get Whalen to pay his
bills, gets into the act. The obvious culprit was right in front of their noses all along. The racy dialog is substantially superior to the story line in this film, which the studio intended as a pilot for a series featuring reporter Whalen and comic photographer Chandler. Only one picture with
