Time Lost And Time Remembered

Miles is an Irish girl who takes off for the city lights of London, expecting her fisherman boy friend, Caffrey, to follow her. However, that never happens. Lonely and desperate, she ends up in a bad marriage with a boorish, young doctor, Glover. When she goes back to her home town for Christmas, she learns that Caffrey is engaged. She also discovers that she has changed more than the town has. Glover arrives to bring her back to London, but she chooses to stay, even though all her dreams have been shattered.
