Better than average Zane-Grey-inspired oater starring Scott as a brave buffalo hunter out to stop loathsome villain Beery, who has been stirring up trouble between the white settlers and the Indians so that he can steal a fortune in buffalo hides. To complicate matters, Scott is in love
with Beery's daughter Allen, Cecil B. DeMille's great star discovery of the year before. A good cast and swift direction by Henry Hathaway make this worth a look. Heavy doses of stock footage of the same material from the 1925 silent version (which also featured Beery and Hatton) do not get in the
