Thunder Run

Forrest Tucker, in his final film appearance, stars in this obvious rip-off of the MAD MAX films. We find Charlie Morrison (Tucker), a veteran truck driver who is now retired, in the middle of the desert trying to make something of an unproductive cobalt mine. He is aided by his loving grandson, Chris (John Shepherd). Enter George Adams (John Ireland), an old buddy of Charlie's, who offers the vulnerable old trucker $250,000 to transport some plutonium across Nevada and Arizona to a high-security installation.
