Texas, 1869. Scott, a Texan and former Confederate soldier, is now wearing the Union uniform and has been assigned to guard the carpetbaggers and swindlers from the angry locals who would like to lynch them. While Scott has great distaste for his assignment, he is a good soldier and performs his duty.
