A routine cavalry picture is redeemed somewhat by a decent cast of character actors. Hamilton plays the naive young officer assigned to serve under brutal captain Boone. The two get off to a bad start and Hamilton complicates matters by trying to rekindle an old romance with Patten, who is living on the base to be close to her fiance, Douglas.
