Wartime musical starring Joyce as a plucky singer in a run-down London nightclub who is determined to become a star. When her producer-fiance Margetson and his partner decide to recruit new talent from the war factories, Joyce gets a job in an airplane plant in order to be "discovered." There she meets dashing RAF officer Fraser and the couple falls in love.
