Army Air Corps hero Johnson takes a vacation in the Sierra Nevadas and falls in love with sprightly swimmer Williams at a mountain lodge. Things get a bit shaky in between Williams' dips in the lodge's pool when Johnson learns that she is a newlywed, but that problem is solved when her boring husband is suddenly called off to Washington on business. Wagnerian tenor Melchior, who plays a chaperone, made his film debut here. Songs include: "Please Don't Say No, Say Maybe" (Ralph Freed, Sammy Fain, sung by Melchior), "I Should Care" (Sammy Cahn, Axel Stordahl, Paul Weston, sung by Robert Allen), "Lonely Night" (George Stoll, Richard Connell), "Vive L'Amour" (Stoll, Ralph Blane, Kay Thompson), "Schubert's Serenade," and "The Thrill Of A Romance." leave a comment
