Three

Zivojinovic is a young Yugoslav who tries to escape from the Nazis during WW II. While waiting for a train among a crowd of refugees, a man with no identification papers is suspected of wrongdoing, and the crowd demands that three soldiers arrest him. Zivojinovic tries to intervene, but the the man is shot. Suddenly the dead man's wife appears and proclaims his innocence. In a second vignette, Zivojinovic is chased by the Germans into a swamp after he takes part in a resistance raid. There he meets another man in hiding. Knowing the Nazis are looking for only one fugitive, the man sacrifices himself so that Zivojinovic can escape. In the final episode, the war is e...
