This misguided and contrived programmer stars Bridges as an American GI in Italy who manages to stash away a fortune before being apprehended by the authorities and put behind bars. After doing his time, he goes back to his hidden loot, only to find that someone else has gotten their paws on it. A number of people get mixed up in its disappearance, including his former girl, Padovani; a cemetery caretaker, Fabrizi; and an American gangster, Tubbs. Bridges then discovers it was Fabrizi who uncovered the cash and spent it on a new chapel. Far from compelling. leave a comment
