A weak entry in the "Dr. Gillespie" series, with the astute wheelchair-bound Barrymore having to decide on a new assistant. In order to base his decision on medical talent, he gives the two prospects--Johnson and Luke--a case to tend to. One gets to treat a woman's "incurable" arthritis,
while the other must treat a young boy's allergy to sugar. Marilyn Maxwell and Ava Gardner lend their talents brightly and winningly to the proceedings.
