Three bandits make their way through the desert, after knocking off the New Jerusalem Bank, where they stumble upon a covered wagon. Inside is a dying mother and her newborn baby. They risk their own lives and their stolen fortune to bring the baby back to safety, with Morris the one who
actually does the deed while the others, too weak to go on, stay behind. This picture was the third remake (out of four) of the Peter B. Kyne story, with its "Three Wise Men" parallel. Hervey went on to become the wife of one singing star, Allan Jones, and the mother to another, Jack Jones.
