A standard British programmer which stars Anderson as a man wrongly imprisoned for murder. He is released after 17 years only to find that his son is engaged to the daughter of the judge who sentenced him. Needless to say, he is opposed to their wedding. Anderson's wife arranges for the
young lovers' elopement, however, and the pair run away together. By the finale Anderson's daughter, Barrie, manages to bring the family together and mend all past wounds.
