A charming little romantic comedy, THOSE LIPS, THOSE EYES features Tom Hulce (later to score big in AMADEUS) as a prop man at an outdoor theater in suburban Cleveland. The theater's star, Frank Langella, who harbors pipe dreams of Broadway, takes a liking to Hulce and shows him the ropes,
while encouraging him to pursue a chorus dancer (played with great vigor by Glynnis O'Connor). Although given only a limited release, THOSE LIPS, THOSE EYES has an earnestness that makes it enchanting. Fine direction guides its well-cast leads.
