When young Army man Williams introduces his soldier pal Young to girlfriend Day, it's love at first sight for Day, but Young only sees her as some mild amusement. Gradually he reforms his caddish ways and ends up marrying the girl. This light nonsense, based on a play, is over talkative
and lacks sincerity. There are some moments of charm, but the unevenness of the cast works against the production, resulting in a hit-and-miss romantic comedy. Williams was being promoted strongly by RKO which hoped he would go on to leading roles. However, he was fated to play few leads, and
mostly second leads in low budget films in what became a long movie career.
