A psychotic woman who craves power (Dresdel) takes out her frustration on her family in humiliating and devastating ways. Her daughter, White, is married to a doctor, but Dresdel doesn't approve and ruins the marriage. Dresdel then decides to find another man for herself and poisons her husband. Jones plays the son she is infinitely proud of for his medical research, but he catches on to his mother's ways and calls the police. Eventually Dresdel is convicted of murder but declared insane and sent to an institution. Though the film has an interesting plot, the stagy presentation hurts the final product. leave a comment
