Entertaining, undemanding picture about gangsters and a witty grandmother who shows a tough hood just what she's made of. Darwell stars as the grandmother of Albert, a tenderfooted kid who wants to marry his sweetheart, Leslie, but can't get the needed dough to start a household. So Granny suggests he use his expected inheritance to get a loan. He does better than this by selling it to hood Cavanaugh for a hefty sum, who turns right around and jacks up the interest price for Quinn.
