Lundigan plays the owner-editor of a small-town newspaper who teams up with two of his old college buddies, Whalen and Beck, to investigate the mysterious death of an old man who lived on the outskirts of town. While the coroner claims it is a case of alcoholism, the news hounds suspect murder. Their suspicions seem confirmed when the man's daughter confesses she murdered her father, but it is soon proven that she lied. Eventually, Lundigan and company discover that the man was indeed killed by a gang of silk thieves who were using his barn as a hideout. leave a comment
