There's Always A Woman

Columbia's copy of MGM's highly successful "Thin Man" series casts Douglas and Blondell as a comic detective couple. Business has been lousy, so Douglas has taken back his old job as an investigator with the district attorney's office. Blondell is sitting in the empty office when Astor enters, plunks three hundred dollars on the desk, and asks that Douglas take her case. Blondell's eyes grow large looking at the money and she decides to look into the matter herself. Of course her sleuthing gets her into trouble, including being charged with murder and given the third-degree.
