Their Own Desire

Shearer is a young woman whose novelist father, Stone, is having an affair with another woman, Millard. She decides to take her mother, Bennett, on a vacation and they travel to a resort. There Shearer meets Montgomery and the two fall in love. They make wedding plans, then Shearer discovers that Montgomery's mother is the very woman with whom her father is having an affair. She calls off the marriage and the pair decide to take a final farewell boat ride. A storm comes up suddenly and the boat is missing.
