Lee, the mysterious, domineering, and seemingly violent director of a Grand Guignol playhouse in Paris, is the prime suspect when a number of people are murdered in a vampirelike fashion. His ward, Till, a young gypsy girl with her own sanguineous inclinations, might also be the culprit.
This relatively entertaining thriller provides an interesting look at the little-seen workings of Grand Guignol theater, and it was beautifully photographed by Gilbert Taylor, who was behind the camera on A HARD DAY'S NIGHT; REPULSION; THE OMEN; STAR WARS; and the 1979 version of DRACULA.
