Boone is thoroughly unpleasant as a pop star with an attitude, a fed up wife (Eden), and a kidnaped son. Boone finally takes action after a trio of murders occur, though he refuses to cooperate with the police. He attempts to pay a $200,000 ransom, but no kidnapers come to meet him.
Eventually he heroically shoots the culprit, a deranged bodyguard played by Forrest, and becomes a likable fellow...at least compared with what he was like at the beginning of the picture. Written by "Twilight Zone" creator Rod Serling, making for a rather odd combination of talents.
