A highly symbolic film from the son of celebrated filmmaker Luis Bunuel takes some not always clear or effective stabs at the relationship between art and reality, namely at which affects which. Deneuve is a writer who plays some seemingly nasty tricks on the sadistic Rey, who winds up
being killed by a man angered at his wife's death. Hard to understand fully, but fascinating to watch if for no other reason than as a product of the offspring of Bunuel.
