There is not much of a plot to this offbeat western by the prolific director Dwan (with over 400 pictures to his credit), and that which does exist is extremely hard to follow. The action takes place in the heat of the Civil War in a small town on the Arkansas-Missouri border, which
supposedly is not involved in the conflict. This proves to be a fallacy since Leslie is about to be hanged as a Confederate spy. She is accused largely because she is an easterner and is tough enough to run a saloon and even tote a gun. The real spy is her beau, Lund, who goes about his business
without being bothered by anyone. Also thrown into the mix are the head of a gang of outlaws...
