A series of mutilation murders of young women in London brings puzzled Scotland Yard inspector Gregson (Boulton) to the Baker Street rooms of Sherlock Holmes (Rathbone). Each corpse has been found with a single finger missing from the right hand. Holmes agrees to use his great deductive
