Shakespeare's latter-period tragicomedy is filmed directly from the stage in London, where it had traveled after a run at the 1966 Edinburgh festival. No compensation was made for the screen version except for some clever mixing by photographer Morris and editor Pilkingtton to suggest gaps in time. leave a comment
