Wynn is a half-white woman who has grown up with the Sioux and now is one of them. In rides Brian, a Swedish immigrant who's trying to start a ranch in the area. He tries to drive the tribe off their land by poisoning the water their cattle drink. This starts a battle in which Birch, a
white man and Wynn's father, is killed. Bishop is the cattle-driving hero who helps out the tribe. The cruel Brian dies in a burning tepee. Making the Indians heroic just doesn't work here due to the ridiculous stereotypes that masquerade as characterizations. As a western the picture is below
standard; as a plea for Indian rights, it is a failure.
