Pryor plays a disaffected Madison Avenue advertising executive in mid-life crisis who leaves his wife, Smith, and young daughter, Blair. He initiates a series of unsatisfactory love affairs with professional dancer McAneny, with TV executive Simon, and with onetime girl friend--now married matron--Miles. Learning of his liaisons, Smith seeks a divorce. Pryor consoles himself once more with McAneny, who promptly has a nervous breakdown. He looks again to Miles, but finds her occupied with minor domestic difficulties. Breathing a sigh of relief, Pryor realizes that he can do without the female side. Slickly filmed as a first feature by longtime TV commercial maker Brown, this is longer than its slim content merits. leave a comment
