A well-done piece of American WW II propaganda starring Bainter as a rich society woman who refuses to change her comfortable lifestyle to help the war effort. She comes to realize that by making some minor sacrifices now, she is aiding the boys overseas in their battle to ensure that she
may continue living in a free country. The cast does well with the material, and the film remains an interesting look at how America drove some messages home to those stateside during WW II. The film was Oscar-nominated for Best Original Screenplay.
