Detective Hulbert and his right-hand man Walters investigate the story behind Brook's being accused of stealing. She's the detective's niece and something seems amiss. Lynne, a dancer, also has some troubles as she's being chased by Galvani, an escapee from Devil's Island. It's discovered that a diamond is hidden in Lynne's shoe and all comes to a satisfactory conclusion. Pretty nonsensical stuff with too many costume changes by the plucky detective, none of which adds to the comedy. leave a comment
