Happily wed Jones and Pleshette bring a Great Dane pup home from the veterinarian, along with a litter of Dachshunds. Jones likes Great Danes, while Pleshette is fond of Dachshunds. Since all the pups are raised together, the Great Dane grows up thinking it's a Dachshund, leading to
numerous outrageous moments. Jones enters his Great Dane in a dog show, competing against Pleshette's Dachshund. The Dane nearly loses the show by acting like a Dachshund, but it finally does take the blue ribbon. This is one of the more mindless and predictable of the Disney family entries.
However, it was the 11th-largest-grossing picture of the year, raking in $6 million.
