Day and Widmark are a young couple who desperately want a child. After being unable to become natural parents, the two decide to adopt. Young and the ever-pregnant Fraser are their next-door neighbors. Scala, a woman from the adoption agency, stops by to pay a visit and surprises Widmark, who is busy chasing mice and wearing only his underwear. She is unimpressed with him, and that feeling is reenforced when Young drops by and takes her for a collector for a charity.
