Something is missing in this creepy story about a girl who uncovers the head and then the body of a man who was beheaded by Sir Francis Drake in the 16th century. The atmosphere is eerie enough, with a soundtrack that helps heighten this aspect. As the young girl who accidently uncovers
the thing while playing with a divining rod, Kearney has the right aura of innocence. But once this monster is put together, so to say, there is just no place for the plot to go. It just dies.
