This is a gorgeously envisioned film about a woman's perilous trip through both her subconscious and the highlands of Tasmania in 1933. Jurisic lives in the rugged, remote highlands with her stoic Welsh immigrant husband, Haywood, and Zuanic, a homeless boy who has become a member of their family. The men snare and skin wallabies and opossums--though Zuanic has anything but the killer instinct--and Jurisic keeps the home fires burning.
