The Strange Case Of Dr. Manning

When the title character (Lander) is kidnaped, his wife, Gynt, calls in private eye Randell and Scotland Yard investigator Seton. She tries to deliver the ransom money, but the interference of investigators makes it difficult. Eventually the doctor is murdered by his kidnaper, the vengeful brother of a woman killed by Lander in a car wreck years earlier. Released in Britain one year previously to a minuscule audience. U.S. sources credit John Bash and Alfred Strauss as producers, though their names were simply tagged on in place of the film's actual British producers.
