Well-done comedy stars Quillan as a sophomore who, on the first day of school, loses his tuition money in a game of dice. He's forced to get a job at the local soda fountain where he meets and falls for O'Neil. The problem is that the boss also has a crush on her and fires Quillan. Out of work and money, Quillan decides to leave school, but before he can withdraw, he receives the necessary funds in the mail. Thinking his mom sent the money, he prepares for the big college football game to be held the next day. He spends most of the game on the bench until the last three minutes when the score is tied. The coach puts him in the game, but he fumbles the ball and is knocked out cold in the scramble. As Quillan is carried away on a stretcher, he learns that O'Neil is the one who sent him the money. He jumps off the stretcher and proceeds to run across the field in an attempt to catch her at the train station. As he does so, the ball is thrown his way, and he makes the winning touchdown. leave a comment
