The Slumber Party Massacre

THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE garnered much attention because it was the first slasher film to be made by women--written by feminist author Rita Mae Brown (Rubyfruit Jungle), produced and directed by Amy Jones--but a slasher film is still a slasher film and the boasts that this one is somehow "feminist" are dubious at best. As plotless as any other splatter movie, the film shows a high-school girls' slumber party being invaded by a mad killer wielding a power drill.
