In this intelligent drama, an older woman, Cracknell, watches a younger woman, Crosby, live her life as she did. Cracknell tries to help the younger Crosby escape some of the patterns she wove, but ultimately both woman are caught up in webs of their own doings, unable to break free. The
film works well, with spare dialog that allows the situations to speak for themselves. The fine chemistry between Cracknell and Crosby gives the psychological and emotional aspects an added edge of honesty. Some interesting early work in this short film from the director of MY BRILLIANT CAREER and
MRS. SOFFEL.
