A family of hillbillies is stuck on a riverboat in the same muddy area for 30 years. While a woman carnival worker fleeing the police is hiding out with them, she agrees to marry the son, though she's really smitten with a fake preacher. The son, meanwhile, is in love with another hillbilly, the daughter of some moonshiners who have been feudin' with his kin for years. Of course love conquers all, and the couples all end up with their hoped-for mates. Utter nonsense from the pen of Wood, who wrote such immortal classics as GLEN OR GLENDA (1953), and PLAN NINE FROM OUTER SPACE (1959).
