This British crime thriller in the vein of Americanfilm noir stars Russell as a private eyes who undertakes to expose Knox for Scotland Yard. Posing as a spy Knox, he falls in love with the object of his observation, Redmond. Russell winds up killing Knox and exposing Knox's gang; he then tries to make it out of the country with Redmond and some diamonds that belonged to the gang.
