The Seven Hills Of Rome

Purely a showcase for Lanza's big screen comeback, with a bare storyline as a basis to show off his fantastic singing talents. Plot involves Lanza as a big TV star whose girl friend, Castle, takes off to Rome after they have a lovers' quarrel. He follows in an attempt to woo her back, but instead meets up with local girl, Alassio, and before the film ends they fall in love. The photography of Rome is more dazzling than the plot, although Lanza does do some clever impersonations of Dean Martin, Frankie Laine, Louis Armstrong, and Perry Como.
