The Seed Of Man

This pretentious look at the apocalypse by Italian director Ferreri finds Margine and Wiazemsky seeking shelter at the seashore after most of the Earth's population has been wiped out by war. Margine feels that it is his duty to repopulate the world and demands that Wiazemsky bear his child. Seeing no point in bringing children into such a horrid world, Wiazemsky refuses, even after authorities arrive and decree that it is her obligation to give birth. Soon another woman, Girardot, arrives and agrees to have children with Margine. The pair make love in the same bed where Wiazemsky pretends to sleep. Later, seeking to secure her position with Margine, Girardot tries...
