Arguably the worst of the Hammer "Dracula" films featuring Christopher Lee, THE SCARS OF DRACULA is marred by a lousy script, bad acting, some shockingly gratuitous violence, and laughably inept special effects. Plundering some nuggets from the original Bram Stoker novel, this film opens
with a rather silly resurrection scene--a huge bat drools blood on Dracula's ashes--and then follows a callow young man named Paul (Christopher Matthews) who wanders into Dracula's castle and is asked to stay the night by the Count himself. That night, Dracula's mistress, Tania (Anoushka Hempel),
