Deneuve and Montand play roles far from their normal coolness in this farce that has them meeting in Venezuela and winding up on a desert island as they flee pursuers. Deneuve is about to marry an Italian but runs off at the last moment. The groom chases her, causing a fracas in the room next to perfume maker Montand's, getting him involved. Montand is running from his wife, as well as business commitments, so the two decide to take off together on Montand's boat before they finally give in to their pursuers. Montand and Deneuve are convincing and entertaining, but the material given them is too dry to evoke many laughs. leave a comment
