Eighteen-year-old Danny (blandly attractive Matt Keeslar) is in a state: His mother has just died and his father (Albert Finney) is a big bully. Naturally, since the film's set in Ireland, he falls for a red-haired lass (Victoria Smurfit) and promptly knocks her up. What begins as a lyrical ode to youth in the countryside becomes a tragic and rambling tale of star-crossed lovers and their dreary families. leave a comment
