The Rookie

Eager draftee Noonan insists upon being inducted into the Army on V-J Day. The government is forced to keep one base open and staffed just to train the soldier. He eventually finds himself on board a carrier to Japan with his sergeant (Marshall) and the sergeant's movie-star girl friend Newmar. They fall overboard and are washed up onto a deserted island. Unfortunately they are rescued--which is more than can be said for this lost, water-logged picture.
