Though the story is conventional, this silent boxing drama is enlivened by early examples of the directorial flourishes for which writer-director Alfred Hirchcock later became famous. Accompanied by his trainer (Gordon Harker), champion pugilist Bob Corby (Ian Hunter) pays a visit to a circus and falls for the girl (Lilian Hall Davis) manning the ticket window at the boxing booth.
