The Rescue

The setting of THE RESCUE is an American army base in Seoul, South Korea. An American nuclear submarine has gone down and is drifting into North Korean waters. Base commander Admiral Rothman (James Cromwell) sends his top Navy SEALS unit (Charles Haid, Edward Albert, Timothy Carhart, and Michael Gates Phenicie) to destroy the sub and prevent American military technology from falling into the hands of the communists. When the SEALS are captured by the North Koreans, Washington decides it would be politically injudicious to launch Operation Phoenix, a military plan to rescue them.
