The Rains Of Ranchipur

This remake of 20th Century Fox's 1939 hit THE RAINS CAME boasts color CinemaScope and an all-star cast, but shares its predecessor's script problems. Turner stars as the vampish wife of a henpecked British lord (Rennie) who delights in seducing any man who catches her fancy. Rennie and Turner venture to the Indian city of Ranchipur on the invitation of the Maharani, Leontovich. There Turner meets Burton, a handsome young Indian doctor who is Leontovich's heir apparent.
